Online Course on Taiwan's style of Five Ancestors Fist by the grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan.
Five Ancestors Fist (Wuzuquan) — Rare Taiwan Style.
Master the Taiwan's style Five Ancestors Fist.
Five Ancestors Fist is an integrated Kung Fu system that was created around 400 years ago but its history goes well back over 1000 years.
"Wuzuquan" fundamentally consisted of 5 different Kung Fu styles:
— The breathing methods and iron body of Bodhidharma (達尊拳)
— The posture and dynamic power of Lohan (羅漢拳)
— The precision and efficient movement of Emperor Taizu (太祖拳)
— The hand techniques and the complementary softness and hardness of Fujian White Crane (白鶴拳)
— The agility and footwork of Monkey (猴拳)
Over time, each style of Southern Shaolin Kung Fu developed their own interpretations of Five Ancestors Fist with their own forms and variations.

Of course, Taiwan being near South of China, Taiwanese masters and grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan developed their own methods of Five Ancestors Fist as well.
Because of this variability, there can be massive differences in techniques and in depth of "Five Ancestors Fist".
We are proud to say that the forms and methods the grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan possesses are incredible in terms of depth, detail and intensity.
Although there are similarities with other forms of Five Ancestors Fist, I doubt you will find anything at this level.
Once again, the grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan sets a new standard.

For Health, Power, Energy, Vitality and Strength.
The first form is a breathing form, the second one is for bodybuilding and power... while the last form is more acrobatic.
You will develop high levels of strength, mobility & flexibility, and will boost the body's energy, vitality and health.
Even if you are not interested in fighting, Taiwan's Five Ancestors Fist provides incredible benefits. And let's not kid ourselves: every person should be capable of defending himself or herself.

Learn Authentic Kung Fu Techniques & Striking Patterns.
Each form consists of countless striking, evading and blocking techniques targeting the vital points and organs of the body.
You will also learn essential footwork and how to move your body in space. This is as real and as practical as it gets.
Grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan shines in turning every movement of the form into a practical and devastating technique.
What We Will Cover
We will cover the 3 fundamental student forms of the Taiwan's Five Ancestors Fist (Wuzuquan) taught by the grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan. The master also continuously demonstrates fighting applications.
"The first form is the breathing technique which builds the foundation. The second form gives you a strong body. The third form is how you handle a fight with ancient weaponry." - Grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan
Three Student Forms
Three Battle Steps (San Zhan)
The breathing foundation. This form builds your core breathing technique, rooting and internal structure. You will learn the postures that underpin all Southern Shaolin movement.
You will also learn various striking and blocking techniques and how to deliver devastating force. San Zhan is one of the most internal forms to master and an important part of martial arts history.
Twenty Fists
The "bodybuilding" form. Twenty Fists develops striking power by training your complete muscular chain through deep stances and full body rotation.
This form stimulates deep muscle layers, massages internal organs and transforms an ordinary jab into a knockout jab.
Hitting The Four Corners
The "weapon" form. This form imitates fighting with a saber and shield, training how to handle ancient weaponry through swinging and cutting movements. You don't need any equipment for this.
While Three Battle Steps builds the foundation and Twenty Fists builds the body, the third form teaches you how to apply that power through a weapon.
"Fist fighting in old times was mimicking warfare."
"Learn a form and don't know the application — that is a big disaster. Applications must always be inside the kung fu form!" - Grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan

How many kung fu forms are there which are completely detached from fighting and actual reality? It's because the masters teach them without any combat applications, mostly because they have no experience in real fighting themselves.
The grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan will constantly teach how to apply the different techniques and different forms in real life scenarios. This makes the forms and techniques more than just health and strength movements.
From Absolute Beginners to Masters — This is What You Need to Learn Before Visiting the Grandmaster!

The depth and detail of Taiwan's Five Ancestors Fist is incredible which makes it important for even high level masters to study.
Yet, it's the foundational fist that every beginner should learn, especially if they are interested in Kung Fu.
Entire Course curriculum
50 videos and more than 6 hours of video content.
This is the 8-movement sequence you are supposed to perform before each form! It's the salutation part of each form of Five Ancestors Fist. So practice it well.
While variations exist between styles, the priority here is precision and consistency. This sequence develops coordination, strength, and body awareness, and forms the foundation for all further practice.
Together these three forms contain the essence of Taiwan's Five Ancestors Fist.
As Jiang Yu Shan puts it: "The first form is the breathing technique which builds the foundation. The second form gives you a strong body. The third form is how you handle a fight with ancient weaponry."
Jiang Yu Shan teaches how to structure your training around the three student forms.
Learn the correct exhaling technique used throughout the beginner forms of Wu Zhu Quan (Five Ancestors Fist). Controversial topic among Kung Fu masters.
Practice the three steps forward and three steps backward sequence of Twenty Fists, synchronizing every movement with your breath. You'll learn the proper stance which creates tension on the inside of the thighs and requires complete body tension throughout every step.
Learn the wave strike sequence in Twenty Fists, where power starts from the rear foot, travels through the hip and spine like a wave, and releases through the shoulders, elbow and fingertips toward the throat or face.
Every step requires complete body tension, clenched jaw, and tight neck so you can absorb hits from any direction while delivering maximum force outward like arrows.
Learn the monkey fist position in Twenty Fists, where one hand rises to redirect a frontal attack while the other hand strikes backward.
Learn the Lohan-based movement in Twenty Fists.
Learn the crane-inspired leg stance in Twenty Fists, where both hands cut downward simultaneously with bent wrists and fingers pointing down.
This position gives you the ability to redirect or cut away attacks from multiple directions while staying light and mobile.
Learn the elbow strike sequence in Twenty Fists.
Learn the forearm chop where the entire arm becomes a baseball bat targeting the ribcage directly under the armpit.
Learn a single long-arm strike targeting the bladder area where even a moderate hit collapses the opponent's entire lower structure.
"People always think the target is the head. But now I introduce you the rib cage and the bladder area."
Learn a rising and cutting downward motion that trains the hand sword, a full arm chop that can block kicks, cut open grabbing hands, or strike the head, while simultaneously building tricep and forearm strength.
Learn the traditional Lohan salutation position where one hand guards the solar plexus and one guards the crotch, giving you simultaneous high and low protection while keeping the front foot light and ready to advance or retreat.
Learn the final movement of Twenty Fists, ending in full body tension like a terracotta warrior before releasing completely.
"All the blood shoots in your palms, the energy is back into your psychic center, your breath is calm, your muscles are relaxed — you're much more focused after that exercise."
Full form demonstrated by the students.
Grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan also shares a personal lesson from his own fighting career: he was knocked out once in 2007 with a broken jaw, came back stronger, and competed until 2016.
Learn how to measure and maintain consistent footwork throughout the form and in fighting, keeping every step the same size forward and backward.
Three Battle Steps form demonstrated by grandmaster Jiang Yu Shan.
Learn the second foundational form of Five Ancestors Fist Taiwan Style. The form consists of 20 punching movements performed in a deep, low stance, designed to awaken your full muscular chain and teach you how to generate and transmit explosive power through your fist.
You'll also practice controlled breathing, body shaking, and striking with full mental intention against an imaginary opponent!
Your mind is the conductor. Execute every movement and technique with full intention: "Your mind is the conductor and this is your orchestra."
Learn the detailed execution of the punching techniques in Twenty Fists, continuing from the breathing form.
Learn the shaking movement that follows the three punches in Twenty Fists, along with two short-range strikes.
You'll also understand the breathing logic of fighting.
Learn the blocking techniques in Twenty Fists and discover that every block should be a weapon in itself.
You'll explore the geometric principles embedded in Shaolin Kung Fu such as the circle, the square, and the triangle. Each represented by different arm and body positions in the form.
The key emphasis is on the iron bridge concept: blocks must be so powerful and firm that an incoming strike injures the attacker.
Learn the final movements of Twenty Fists, including two protective hand techniques.
These guard positions are not passive blocks but active responses to straight attacks: if someone punches forward, you intercept with the protective hand and immediately counter.
Every movement in Twenty Fists can be extracted from the form and trained as a standalone exercise. Whether it's the punches, the blocks, or the grabs. Each technique is complete enough to be drilled on its own.
Understand the spatial logic of Twenty Fists: every movement happens within an invisible square, and your footwork must always return to that square after each technique.
You'll learn to identify open gates (empty spaces) as the direction to move toward, and closed gates as directions to avoid. Once the form is firmly learned, you can begin experimenting.
Understand the poke and palm strike in detail and learn the principle of short distance power.
How to generate significant force from minimal movement using only the elbow and wrist.
You'll also be introduced to a praying mantis-derived wrist technique for developing the palm strike.
What to do when you forget your position mid-form. The grandmaster explains that panicking or flailing when you lose your place scatters your energy in every direction, away from your psychic center.
The demonstration of the full Twenty Fists form.
This lesson from Jiang Yu Shan reflects on what students feel during the form — the surprise of how exhausting proper punching is, and the sensation of the whole body working as one connected muscle.
Discover the fire road which is an internal energy circuit running from the nose down to the psychic center, up the spine, and out through the crown and lips.
Explore the deeper principles behind the low stance and rooting in Twenty Fists. The grandmaster explains that gripping the floor through a stable, low stance is not just for show, rather it compresses energy into the psychic center and creates real structural power.
Learn the principle of polarity: what goes up has a down, what goes forward has a pull back, what is inhaled must be exhaled.
The blueprint for building the warrior monk, the most important thing. This is how Shaolin builds the warrior monk, layer by layer: first breathing, then power, then weapons.
Learn the third and final student form of Taiwan's Five Ancestors Fist, which mimics a warrior equipped with saber and shield.
Every cutting, slashing, blocking and poking movement in this form traces back to actual weapon techniques, because in ancient times all empty hand forms were built around dealing with weapons.
"What you can do empty handed, you can also do with a weapon."
"Man man lai — slowly, little by little, step by step you become more proficient. If you want too much, you get less."
Learn the opening double block sequence where two consecutive blocks cover the inevitable one-two punch pattern, followed by a rising knee and spear hand strike to the ribs.
Learn a circular arm block of Hitting Four Corners.
Learn the three punch sequence that flows into a downward grab and a rising cut mimicking a saber piercing upward while the other hand shields.
Every movement in this form represents either sword or shield, teaching the ancient warfare logic of simultaneous attack and defence.
Learn the grab and uppercut sequence followed by a jumping backward cut, understanding that every movement in this form mimics the ABC of ancient battlefield warfare.
This form was never designed for one against one, but one against many armed opponents.
"Fist fighting in old times is mimicking warfare."
Learn the correct shape of the Kim, the grabbing movement, where fingers round into a claw, the elbow drops down and the arm swings in a full circle.
Learn to shift your body sideways instead of standing still as a fixed target, using a hooking bridge hand to redirect the opponent's arm and enter with a stabbing finger strike to the eyes or a grab to the neck.
Learn the pushing technique that breaks grips and snaps elbows, and discover how the same movement defends against a double leg takedown by driving the forearm into the attacker's throat.
Every movement in the form has a real application.
"Learn a form and don't know the application — that is a big disaster. Applications must always be inside the kung fu form."
Learn the rising push technique that simultaneously snaps the elbows and drives the cutting hands into the liver and spleen on both sides, pressing the air out of the opponent's body before pushing them away with full force.
Learn the turning sequence that ends with three punches and the butterfly palm.
This finishing technique appears across Wing Chun, Tiger and Crane, Hong Chun and nearly every wooden dummy form in Southern Shaolin.
Full form demonstrated by the students.
BONUSES: Southern Style Bridging Hand Drills & Combat Applications

Pai Da - Slap & Strike (3:38)
Every Southern style has hand drills, not just Wing Chun: "Wing Chun made these drills famous, but actually they exist in every Southern Shaolin fist."

Tan Pai Da - Deflect & Strike (6:27)
Learn the bridge hand drills for attacks coming from the side, training how to stick, redirect and trap an incoming slap or strike.

Nei Pai Kan - Inside Slap & Chop (4:19)
A chop to the eyes followed by a crossing block that simultaneously controls and breaks the opponent's arm, opening up pressure point attacks, elbow strikes and spinal manipulation.

Pai Dang Pai Da - Slap Block & Slap Strike (7:08)
Learn a drill where you redirect a straight punch to the side, trap the arm so the opponent cannot counter, and immediately strike vital points.

Bang Shou La Da - Wing Arm Pull Strike (5:17)
Learn the three responses: hitting down, pushing forward and sliding in. This gives you an instinctive answer to any straight or side attack regardless of which hand shape or style you use.

Pan Shou & Lu Shou - Sticking & Seizing Hand (4:36)
The washing hands drill, where you stick to your opponent's arm and develop a listening force, the ability to feel the direction of an incoming strike before it arrives, without any visual telegraphing.

You can practice the entire course with no equipment with minimal space - any room will be enough.
Only for the bonus bridging hand drills you need a training partner.
You can still get massive benefits from these forms because the benefits for health, performance, vitality and energy will be immense.
And let's be honest, every person should be capable of defending himself or herself so it's a great bonus to practice physical fitness disguised as fighting techniques.
This is a hard question to answer because this course is not for a short time but for a lifetime. Just watching all the videos will take a very long time (nearly 8 hours) and practicing what is taught will take even longer.
This course should be treated as serious education, not as a short-term program.
To reach a mastery in many of the skills and areas we cover in the course takes 6-10 years but you should see noticeable changes in your abilities just after a month of training.
We accept credit cards and PayPal. If your credit card is not accepted, please use the PayPal option - it should work in almost every country out there and they will also allow you to use your credit card with a nearly 100% success rate. For the monthly payment plan, we can only accept PayPal.

Please try the credit card/PayPal option but otherwise please contact us here and we will provide further information.
The price was decided by Jiang Yu Shan and we consider the price very inexpensive for the size, depth and magnitude of the course. If you want to learn directly from the master, it will be far more expensive.
Becoming Jiang's disciple costs $36,000 USD (32 200€) /1 payment or the same amount split into 20 payments once per year. Jiang has lots of disciples mainly from Taiwan but also from all over the world many who are very respected and skilled teachers on their field. This includes martial artists, Wing Chun masters and more.
This course is by far the most affordable option to learn from the master. You can also take private lessons from him (as we did) but together with the flights and accommodation it will still be ten times more expensive or more if you want to learn the same amount as he teaches in this course.
Moreover, Jiang does not accept everyone as his students. He picks his students very selectively often through recommendation or good reputation only.
You will get a great discount with a single payment but we also provide a 3-month payment plan.
To protect the information, the videos aren't downloadable. We recommend taking old school notes (this is what the master highly recommends also) and taking pictures in case you need to remember parts of the course when you don't have an internet connection.
Due to the request of the master there will be strictly no refunds. This is to protect the information. You will have access to our support in case you need help with the course.

“
After spending a significant amount of time listening, watching and learning from Sifu Jiang I know I've only really scratched the surface of what he has to offer. The information provided in this course has been only privy to a chosen few and I'm incredibly happy that more people can now experience real kung fu from Taiwan's famous "Monkey Boxer"!
Sifu Vik Hothi, UK

“
The true teachings of Kung Fu and Neigong are very hard to find in the western world, people end up simply repeating the empty words of other people, speaking high words but lacking in substance. In the internet age the deeper levels of the teaching are often misunderstood, limited or twisted, not out of spite but out of ignorance.
It is a great joy to see important parts of the real authentic system made available online for Qiqong enthusiasts around the world. Taught by a strong fighter and a man of accomplishment and true knowledge of the ancient skills.
